Well here goes nothing. I'd talked and talked about blogging our trips and now I've gone and done it. First a bit about me. I love to travel. I love good food, cocktails, wine and beer. I adhere to the Rick Steves/Anthony Bourdain school of travel: do what the locals do, eat and drink what they do, and be flexible and go off the beaten path. My usual travel companion is my best friend, my wife Elizabeth. We have 3 kids and a dog. Elizabeth is a breast cancer survivor, doing well, and that ramped up our travel as of late. What's great is that we don't always like the same things but both of us are willing to try anything. She is a fantastic researcher and I make up for that by being an annoying yet middling photographer. That's enough about me for now. Other than to point out I love puns, usually bad ones as I'm sure you'll notice. So, on with the show!
